“Paint is the plastic vehicle for my material explorations upon this uncertain world. Altered perspectives and juxtaposed imagery conflate to present historical and contemporary experiences that are biased toward a more psychological interpretation, offered up on board or canvas to challenge and expose.

Attending Grimsby School of Art, Wimbledon School of Art and West Dean College, I have been privileged to be a recipient of significant visual arts trainings and continue this at present by studying for a diploma in painting technique at the Norfolk Painting School.

Artist for the Day at Angela Flowers Gallery in 1982 (chosen by Maggi Hambling) and awarded the British Institution Prize for painting in 1982, I subsequently embarked on a more scientific route.

And now I return to my roots, living between Italy and UK to continue my explorations in paint. As a friend once said, “do not let the music die inside you.”

My studio (The Hex Hut) is located within the grounds of Stansted Park House.”
